JULY, AUGUST 2020 Embodied De-Construction

Through diving deep into the presence and future destruction of Landwasser Shoping Center, planned during Autumn 2020, a lokal artist, performer and choreographer- Katarzyna Brzezinska in her sound and performance art work „Embodied De-ConstruCtion” places in a constant play, and poetic Dialog a human body and a building, while researching in both the aspects of architectural and supportive functions, as well as dependency from a constant process of appearance and disappearance, construction and deconstruction. Playing with „The Body of a Building and a Building of a Body” she dives into insides of both, while zooming into specificity and transformation of structures, textures, shapes, colours, functions… Through the poetic relation of voice, body and instantly composed dance artist invites the public to observe the space and a performance in a different way, as usual: through noticing details, perceiving own body while attending the action, opening for sensing, feeling, connection and imagination. The performance had 4 parts, as it has been transforming , while traveling through different areas of a place.

performed in a frame of KUNST LAND WASSERCooperation: team of residents*, cultural workers, as well as the neighbourhood work, which actively accompanies and shapes the architectural change in Landwasser and is open to all interested parties.
